The March 2013 issue is our first Fantasy themed issue! We received an enormous amount of great submissions this month, and it was hard to narrow it down to the amazing stories you have before you!

Seas of Europa is a Space Exploration fantasy with a Lovecraft bent!

If You Let It explores the fantasy of exaggerated legend in a wild tale as a man discovers his “next-room” neighbor is dead.

The Great Escape tells the story of a fantasy between two lovers out for a night of passion.

Something to Tide Us Over shows what happens when two people, faced with the end of the world, decide to spend their last hours as blissfully as possible.

Bushfire explores the fantasy created by the mind under extreme physical stress and pressures.

We truly enjoyed bringing you another issue of Uncharted Frontier, and we hope you enjoy reading it even more!

Welcome back to the Frontier!

Issue 7 due out on 2/12 (and other release updates)

Good morning east coasters!

As everyone here at Uncharted Frontier HQ in the Poconos of Pennsylvania prepare for Nemo, we wanted to give you an update as to what’s going on behind the scenes. First, is anyone else finding it a little bit odd that they’re naming all “winter storms” now? I thought they just saved that for massive blizzards and hurricanes? Anyways, on to the Frontier!

We have welcomed a new editor to our fold, Cindy Brozyno! Cindy has been a regular contributor to Uncharted Frontier since our early days. She’s also been working with us on improving issue quality. This made us realize, “Well, gee, maybe we should just add her on to the staff!”

This is how we operate here at UF. We’re a professional EZine with a casual atmosphere, and we look for people that have the intense passion that we do for all things creative. Throughout our seven months of life we have learned so much about the world of publishing. Some things have caused us to re-evaluate how we release our EZine.

Initially we released on the first of the month. However we’ve found it much more advantageous to release mid-way through the month. Mainly based on our submission volume. We consistently get swamped with submissions at the end of every month, and there have been some occasions that, despite getting great material, we’ve already selected our favorites for the current issue. We believe shifting our release schedule will allow us to receive and evaluate as many submissions as possible and give you the best chance of being included in the current issue. We look forward to everything you send us!

Good luck on your submissions, and welcome to the Frontier! Issue 7 is due out this coming tuesday! Good luck!

Welcome a new editor, Cindy Brozyno!

We hired a new editor to join Uncharted Frontier this week! Cindy comes to us as a previous contributor and fan of Uncharted Frontier. Her sharp eye at catching any mistakes that we may have missed before sending the issue off to the presses has convinced us we might as well let her see ALL the issues before they go out.

Congratulations Cindy, and Welcome to the Frontier!
